My last entry here was back in January, almost five months to the day of this post. If you have been following along with my adventures at Hermit Chronicles, you are aware that I have been a little busy with other life pursuits. However, I have continued my study and observation on matters of American governance and its effect on politics, society, culture, and the collective influence of the media—social and corporate—over the National conversation.
We are approximately 4 1/2 months away from the next national election, and in the face of so many concerns about our current state of the nation, I intend to bring forward a number of things for readers to consider between now and November 5th, 2024. I will keep to my promise of staying neutral (I am a registered independent) and steer clear of the relentless animosity within and between the opposing cults of personality, focusing, instead, on current affairs juxtaposed with the original founding intent and rationale of those responsible for establishing this nation at its inception.
And to leave you with a smile and an understanding of what I mean when I say I'm an independent, let's just agree up front that the election ahead is not about Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Rather, it is about each of us... Our individual lives, and the lives of our families and communities... and whether we are satisfied with the performance of our entire government - all three branches, or if maybe, just maybe, we need a serious come to Jesus moment with the people we hire to manage the system we consented to be governed by.
Kind of a critical typo there; guessing you didn’t mean *lies* of our family…
