Just wow! I'm doing an almost parallel series, albeit much shorter, and aimed at discussing the ambitions of the king class which formed the foundation of what we came to know as the mercantile sector, who built legal and even religious boundaries around the royal class, which extended all the way into the 17th Century. Natural Law spurred Man to finally whittle away from the mercantile sector who controlled the movement of goods and services, probably due to the Great Plague/Black Death, which caused many royal privileges to be redrawn.....primarily in Europe, but reborn first by Muhammed in 600's, thence onto the Crusades, carried forward by Christians via kings and their royal houses.

It was Thomas Paine who "invited" the common man to draw paths to wealth that could be achieved by hard work, blood, sweat and tears, as well as ingenuity, even genius.

I'll keep you posted.

This is EXCELLENT writing David. So interesting! I am ready for revolution, I knew a few years ago that this would be the hill I was prepared to die on but it's a tough ask of people now because no one wants to give up their little square foot of comfort and we have forgotten or been conditioned out of personal responsibility. It's fascinating times to live in. A bit like watching a global horror show. I am frightened at the same time as I get myself 'battle ready'. Great piece, thank you. I shall be reading it again.
